If you’re looking for a fun outdoor event for the entire family, take a peek at the Windsor Parks, Recreation and Culture Department’s Movies in the Park program and the Summer Concert Series.
Families, couples and singles of all ages as well as furry four-legged friends are invited to bring out their lawn chairs or a blanket, pack a picnic dinner, non-alcoholic drinks, some snacks and enjoy a movie or concert under the stars.
The Movies in the Park event is free and screenings begin at 8:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. The movies scheduled for the series are rated G and PG. The event’s location changes with every movie screening.

The 2023 Movies in the Park schedule is as follows:
Friday, June 9 — “The Incredibles” (PG) at Main Park, 300 Locust St.
Friday, June 23 — “Lightyear” (PG) at Eastman Park, 7025 Eastman Park Drive
Friday, July 21 — “Adventure of Shark Boy and Lava Girl” (PG) at Chimney Park Pool, 421 Chimney Park Drive. Pool admission fees apply
Friday, Aug. 4 — “Hercules” (G) at Boardwalk Park, 100 N. Fifth St.
Sunday, Sept. 4 — “Sky High” (PG) at Eastman Park, 7025 Eastman Park Drive. The movie begins at 8 p.m. for this event.
Movies in the Park is made possible by sponsorships from Re/Max Alliance, Poudre Pet and Feed Supply, McDonald Toyota, Aims Community College and iHeart Media.
The town’s Summer Concert Series, which is also free, begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays from June through August at Boardwalk Park, 100 N. Fifth St.
Kicking off the event on Thursday, June 1 will be Funky Business, followed by classic rock band Smokin’ on Thursday, June 8.
Dust off your boots as The Parlor Pickers will be bringing some country music to the park on Thursday, June 15. Wrapping up the month’s events will be Michael Morrow and the Culprits on Thursday, June 29.
